Brody

No one knew where Brody came from.

When he arrived in this village, he was covered in blood and his right hand seemed to have been eaten away by the abyss. You could tell by his dark face that he was lost. The kind villagers didn't dare to let him enter the village, so they put water and food next to him instead.

After waking up, Brody realized that the villagers were afraid of him. He had forgotten everything, only faint memories crossing his mind from time to time.

In the dream he had over and over again, someone was shouting to him, “Brody, hurry up! But hurry for what? He didn't know the answer.

In his faint memories, there was always a big fire. And his right hand… looked quite ordinary at the time. So what happened to him? Every time he tried to remember the past, Brody felt an intense headache. He didn't know his purpose. He wandered the lands aimlessly. The torn memories and the pain in his right arm constantly tortured him.

The villagers thought he was a monster and stayed away from him. Brody knew people feared him. He was a stranger, someone who had no memories or past.

One day, an elder chased by demons got lost in the mountain. Brody didn't think much. He tried to save the old man out of pure instinct. The fierce demons didn't care about Brody because he looked thin and weak. However, he projected a strong wave of energy from his right hand and completely wiped out the demons. The power was incredible, but Brody also realized that every time he used this power, his right hand would feel unbearable pain and this pain would spread throughout his body. This pain did not paralyze him nor did it take away his strength to fight. But this pain was eternal, pushing him to rediscover his lost past.

The elder he saved thought he was a nice boy, so he invited him to stay with him in the village. Encouraged by the old man, the other villagers also began to open their arms to this quiet young man. It was in that moment that Brody suddenly realized that, even without memories, he loved this feeling, the feeling of being needed. Brody figured it was probably because he could finally feel like he had a purpose when he was needed.

This idea calmed Brody and eased the burden on his mind. But that voice still existed in his head, screaming, “Help! Help me!

He became the village guardian and peace was briefly restored. He repelled the demons of the Abyss wave after wave. It is for this reason that the villagers began to appreciate this quiet boy. Brody grew stronger and stronger as he fought battle after battle. And in every battle, he saw things that seemed to be his past memories.

He wanted to find out about his past, but at the same time, he was also afraid of the truth. What happened to him?

Brody fought like a soulless machine, until he met Benedetta, who was also a poor homeless soul. Benedetta was fighting against a group of demons. And that's when Brody came out of nowhere and intervened.

They were near the Abyss Fissure, and countless demons were appearing through the portals. The battle was becoming more and more intense. Brody evacuated the villagers to a safer location and fought alongside Benedetta.

It was when they nearly achieved victory that a group of demons sneaked into the wine cellar and captured the elder Brody had once saved. They threatened Brody to murder all the villagers.

Looking at the villagers being held hostage, Brody felt a severe headache. He could feel his right arm burning with anger. He could no longer contain the energy within him. Before anyone could react, Brody had rushed to the side of the last surviving demon who was trying to fight back. He struck this demon's chest with his right hand and removed its beating heart.

Blood blurred his eyes as Brody fell asleep from the extreme pain and fatigue caused by this intense battle.

The faint memories were finally coming together. The history that happened will never be forgotten. he would eventually call them back.

In his dream, Brody saw his past: he was born in a village at the foot of a volcano. The village was haunted by the Abyss, the people who lived there had to be very careful to survive.

Brody was the most optimistic young man in the village. Everyone loved him and he wanted to help too. The naive Brody thought he could fight demons and rid the village of terror and fear.

One day, the arrogant boy took a weapon and went to challenge the demons. He grew stronger the more he fought. But in the meantime, he realized that demons were indeed fearsome monsters. He couldn't fight them alone.

Brody got homesick so he returned home. But he didn't notice that a group of demons were following his trail to the village.

The demons destroyed the village. Some villagers were killed trying to defend themselves, and others were corrupted by foul energy.

When Brody finally defeated the demons around him, it was too late. The surviving villagers had all been corrupted by demonic power and were beginning to lose their minds. The oldest man in the village who was losing his last piece of humanity begged Brody to kill everyone. They would rather die than wander this world, soulless creatures.

The old man approached Brody and gave him one last hug, his strength was weakening. He once again begged Brody to do them a favor.

"Good boy, we missed you. And we will always look out for you."

A devastated Brody put the villagers out of their misery, then turned his attention to the last remaining demon hiding in the shadows. Agony, regret and hatred transformed into unbreakable power. Brody's right hand reached out, pierced this demon's chest and crushed its heart.

The demon's blood corrupted Brody's arm, giving him the power he now possessed. He could have gotten rid of corruption. But Brody let the pain take over his body until he passed out from the agony.

He knew the price he had to pay in doing this, for every strike he landed on his enemy would trigger the same pain, reminding him of the mistakes he had once made.

He had always been the same. When Brody opened his eyes, Benedetta and the villagers were there for him. And for the first time, he truly felt peace.

All his loved ones, friends and family have passed away. And his homeland will never be the same for him again.

But fortunately, he still has someone to protect.

Brody will continue to fight for his second homeland.
