How to play

  • The challenge changes every day at midnight UTC. Everyone gets the same one, whatever the language.
  • You get 5 attempts to find a hero and 4 for an item. Each miss unlocks a hint and compares your guess with the answer: role, lane, release year, region or price.
  • Your streak, best streak and score distribution stay in your browser. Once you have visited the page, the quiz also works offline.
  • At the end, share your grid: colored squares that give no answer away. Practice mode serves questions without limit.

The five rounds

Skill
A skill icon. Each miss reveals its name, then the start of its description (hero name hidden), the hero's role and lane.
Skin
A close-up of a skin's artwork. The image zooms out after each miss and hints pile up: role, lane, release year, then the skin's name.
Lore
An excerpt from the hero's official story, with the name replaced by ▢▢▢. A second excerpt, the region, the role and finally the initial come as backup.
Item
An item's stats and price. Hints give its category, its recipe and then its passive; each guess tells you whether the answer costs more or less.
Win-rate duel
3 pairs of heroes: which one wins more often in ranked games, across all ranks? The rates come from our latest data snapshot.

Where the questions come from

Questions are drawn from the MLBBDex database: skills and lore of every hero in your language, skin artwork, item stats and recipes, and win rates measured in ranked games. Nothing is written by hand, so the quiz follows every game update.
