Paquito

The Abyss grew in power, plunging the Land of Dawn once again into the thick fogs of eternal war. It was a true calamity that spread suffering throughout the Land of Dawn. Especially the southern border of the Moniyan Empire. The rampant menace and corruption of the Abyss has left this place in ruins, and it now stands as a barren wasteland.

The Empire had long since stopped trying to reclaim these lands, and the numbers of those fleeing to the heart of the Moniyan for a new life grew by the day. Those who did not want to leave their homeland stayed behind and struggled to make ends meet, but they failed to unite and offer resistance to the advance of the Abyss. Instead, they have adopted brutal force and violence in their efforts to lay claim to the earth's dwindling resources. Conflict reigned over everything.

Like the distant Land of Despair, this frontier has fallen into deep decline, an abyss without a glimmer of hope. Until that day comes. A man with a distinctive scar on his back and fists of iron roamed these chaotic lands, purging the injustice and cruelty that dominated them. A long-lost warmth returned to people's hearts as one malevolent force after another fell before him.

No one knew where this man came from. And so, those he saved would simply call him the “Heavenly Fist”. Yet his name was Paquito.

Paquito was born in a small southwest village of Moniyan. To survive and thrive in a country like this, so far from the royal capital, you had to be strong. And so[,] he had only one dream since he was a little boy: to become the strongest fighter in the world. Paquito tempered his mind, body, and spirit by every means possible in his quest for this power.

A reluctant man walked through his village, witnessing the incredible effort Paquito was putting into his training. That's why he decided to stay and trained Paquito, taking him as a student.

In the months that followed, Paquito's abilities improved at an exponential rate as he trained under his master. Yet his departure was approaching. Before leaving, he said this to Paquito: the summit, the true essence of combat, does not lie in destruction. It's not about attacking.

Paquito continued tirelessly to perfect his technique in the years following the departure of his master. However, he still had difficulty embodying this essence that his master spoke of.

This left him with uncertainty deep in his heart, so he too left his village, still determined to become the strongest in the world. And so[,] he sought powerful adversaries as he roamed the lands. As he traveled the mountains of Lantis, he found a land rife with injustice and evil. Therefore, he would enter the fray, fighting for justice and annihilating evil, becoming known as the "Heavenly Fist".

As Paquito relentlessly advanced, a mysterious figure known as the "Dominator" gained great power in the Moniyan Empire. He commanded his subordinates and launched a grand plan to take control of the earth. To fuel his plans, the Dominator plundered these lands already on the verge of collapse, leaving behind cruelty and massacre.

Paquito heard about this series of tragedies, and it made his blood boil. He has sworn to stop this Dominator and eradicate all traces of his control. In his mission to unmask this dark figure and his true identity, Paquito discovered that he was none other than his former master. He had searched for the true essence of what it means to fight, but instead he had been eaten up and spat out by the harsh realities of this world. He had lost everything he once stood for, becoming cruel and ruthless.

Paquito's loyalty and friendship to his former master clashed with the justice and morality that had always been so dear to him. He made his decision. The student and the master began an unprecedented battle. Paquito held his ground and received the first of his master's crushing blows – a reward for the teaching he had received. Then they started exchanging blows; a collision of two colossal forces. The master's technique had only strengthened over the years, with dominant advances hitting Paquito until he was on the brink of death. Strength began to leave his body and Paquito thought of those he had worked to save from oppression; their grim looks, how they wanted nothing but peace. It was then that he had his epiphany: the true essence of combat was not to attack or destroy, but rather to defend hope wherever it might be found.

Paquito forced the Dominator to defeat, and the master looked at his former student, filled with regret. His evil forces were subdued and peace flourished in the land.

It was then that Paquito put his bag on his shoulders and prepared to hit the road again, telling his master: our world is bigger than we think, with powerful adversaries awaiting our arrival, not to mention the powers of evil...

He counted on his two fists. With them, he would fight for the hopes and dreams of all who needed him.
