Natan

The Land of Dawn was born from the void, and it is to the void that it will return.

Over the past few centuries, the seal that holds the Lord of the Abyss has lost power, while the fissures in the Abyss have steadily widened. The mountains of Lantis could no longer withstand the crippling corruption of the Abyss, and humanity was forced further and further north to survive.

With this, the Lord of the Abyss fully awakened and his demonic forces reached the walls of the cities of Moniyan. Humanity began to understand that their apocalypse was near. But then, a ray of pure light appeared and provided protection to Moniyan.

People cast their gazes toward the sky, searching for the source of this divine light. It was then that they realized that this was a sign that the Lord of Light had also awakened.

The powers of light and darkness have come into action and endless war has once again descended upon the lands.

Tragedy and war abounded, destroying all life, never to be reborn. At such a time, it seemed that no one could stop the spread of war. A thousand years have passed, then three hundred more, and yet the conflict continues with increasing intensity, showing no signs of stopping.

It was at this time that Natan was born.

Growing up in Eruditio, Natan proved to be naturally gifted. Whether in science or magic, he has achieved achievements unimaginable to any normal man.

Over the years, the troubles of war have left a terrible scar in people's hearts that can never be healed. This despair was a heavy burden carried by everyone, even young children.

And none more so than the Scholars, who, as humanity's last hope, now constituted the pinnacle of human wisdom, built over millennia. Natan therefore followed the same path as the other scholars, from a very young age taking responsibility for saving this world.

A few years later, young Natan had already become the driving force behind Eruditio, actively participating in various important research projects. At the age of 28, he had already been named the official head of Eruditio for his outstanding achievements. Along with his citizens, he strived to find a way to save the world.

At this point, the Abyss had accumulated even more Twilight Orbs. If each of them fell into the hands of the Lord of the Abyss, it would mean the return of pure chaos to the world, as all light would disappear into darkness. Natan and the others were running out of time. They took command of everyone at Eruditio and Magic Academy, striving with all their might to find a way to turn the situation around and avoid a certain descent into chaos.

A multitude of weapons, each powerful beyond belief, were researched and created before being sent to war. Nevertheless, humanity remained vulnerable under the threat of demons and their twilight orbs. The plan to stop the Abyss Lord's advance was already less of a plan of action and more of a wish, something that plunged humanity even further into despair.

It was at this dark moment that Natan appeared once again and presented a new idea: the creation of a time machine.

It was a crazy, fanciful idea that seemed to raise more problems than it solved. How exactly do we travel in time? Even if it were possible, how would you know when to travel? And besides, would changing the past really also change the future?

Either way, humanity found itself stuck in a dead end with no way back. Even the faintest glimmer of hope could not be extinguished.

Scholarship has put aside all other research and devoted all its manpower and resources to finding a way to make time travel a reality.

Natan did not allow himself a second of rest, devoting almost all his time and energy to his research.

This relentless effort finally produced results. Natan and the other researchers worked together to produce a device that, if powerful enough, could warp time itself. They continued to advance their research around this discovery, a rudimentary time machine slowly developing before their eyes. One lingering problem remained, however: even with their current research, they had no way of providing the machine with such a gargantuan amount of power.

Another problem was the fact that the four corners of the Land of Dawn had been ravaged by the Endless War for a long, long time now. Fissures spread across the land, floods surged, and tornadoes howled as countless life forms faced extinction in their unforgiving environments. The former glory of the Moniyan Empire has been replaced by a scene of true desolation. Scholarship continues thanks to its protective shield and welcomes a myriad of refugee families.

Eruditio was no longer simply the “City of Scholars”. It was now the last light still shining as humanity faced its apocalypse.

As the Abyss took control of the last shard of the Twilight Orb, it seemed as if fate had been decided. Dark blasts of fearful energy erupt, encircling the skies as the Land of Dawn lets out a cry of pain. I had a feeling it was going to be completely split before long.

The last bastion of humanity, Eruditio, stood alone as he struggled to ignite his dying flames of hope.

But it was precisely at that moment that a miracle happened. The explosive power that erupted from the Twilight Orbs resonated with the time machine, and so Natan hastily activated the device: it trembled with an awesome energy that surged through its hollows and glowed with a warm, powerful glow as if it were alive.

Beyond the laboratory, darkness encroached upon the land as it descended from the sky. The defensive network had been devastated by the energy blast, and now an unstoppable tide of demons was flooding the city en masse. Buildings collapsed and streets caught fire.

Everyone knew very well that this would be humanity's last fight. Besides, they all knew very well how this was probably going to end. Even though failure weighed heavily on their heads, those incessant sparks of hope continued to burn in their hearts. This hope in the face of defeat is what humanity is all about, and they placed it entirely on Natan.

Natan saw the dark scene before him and started the machine with resolve in his eyes. We hadn't had time to test it, but their theories suggested it could support a single person and transport them through time and space. This was only a theory, however, which meant there would be no way to guarantee his safety.

The end of the world loomed before him and behind him shone the hope of everyone else. Natan fulfilled the expectations of humanity and entered the past.

The future had to change. Even if it meant spending his life exploring the vast expanses of time and space, Natan would never lose hope, because that hope did not belong to him alone. This was the hope of everyone in Moniyan. As long as he continued and never gave up, there was still a chance for the survival of the Land of Dawn.
