Patch 2.1.88: roamers reinforced, Hirara arrives in the jungle
Hirara, 42 heroes adjusted including 26 reinforced, a wave of bonuses for roamers: what patch 2.1.88 changes, and where the heroes concerned are according to September measurements.
This summary is written from the patch notes included in the wiki. He reformulates and comments on them; it does not replace them. The wiki page is still incomplete: for 25 of the 42 adjusted heroes, it only indicates the direction of the modification, without its content.
Patch 2.1.88 was released on June 17, 2026 on the official server. It adds a heroine, Hirara, and adjusts 42 heroes: 26 strengthened, 11 weakened, 5 modified without clear direction. The developers summarize the intention in two points: to help most traditional roamers, tanks as team support, to exist in the new season, and to review the rhythm of the jungle at the start of the game, with more freedom for the team in advance and more margin for the one whose jungle is invaded.
A new heroine: Hirara
Hirara is a jungle assassin who wields two fans. Her kit is based on combinations: in addition to her two skills, the order in which she chains them unlocks two different combined skills.
Roamers, big winners
This is the heart of the patch. Several supports especially see the mana cost of their skills drop: Estes, Angela and Floryn. Estes also gains a little HP, and the defense of his skill 1 now depends in part on his magic power.
Rafaela receives the heaviest change: the base recharge of his resurrection goes from 40 to 10 seconds, in return for a greater share linked to the reappearance delay of the resurrected ally. His skill 1 does more damage and his other two skills cost less.
Mathilda gains damage in the middle and end of the game, notably on her skill 1 and her ultimate, whose shield benefits much more from magical power. Diggie is adjusted: less base armor but better progression, cheaper skill 1 and more expensive skill 2.
On the tank side, Minotaur, Carmilla, Khufra, Atlas, Hylos, Chip, Gatotkaca, Akai, Johnson and Edith are reinforced, and Tigreal and Grock adjusted, but the wiki does not yet detail these changes. Outside of roam, Eudora, Aurora and Cici are also reinforced, without further details.
The jungle and the fighters
Saber no longer depends on a single explosion: the swords of his skill 1 also reduce his own cooldown, his ultimate hits harder, and his basic attributes direct him towards fighter items. Hanzo can now use his skill 1 on the turtle and the lord, and the recharge of his ultimate drop; in exchange, he loses base HP, and this recharge is doubled if Hanekage is killed.
Ling clears the jungle faster in the early game thanks to a faster basic attack and a skill 2 that recharges faster at later levels. Yin sees his ultimate no longer interrupted by controls, except suppression. Balmond moves her armor reduction from skill 1 to skill 2. Aulus gains in pursuit, Ruby in damage at the cost of reduced lifesteal as long as she has a lot of HP, and Argus goes from an assassin profile to that of a fighter, with an ultimate that triggers on its own against a fatal blow.
Hilda loses early game explosion but gains a more important shield, and Khaleed trades a little damage for a more often available skill 2.
Marcel and the weakened heroes
Marcel is the most visible change among the adjustments: his skill 1 loses its immobilization in favor of a stronger slowdown, and the zone of his ultimate lasts less long, with targets which remain targetable. In exchange, he gains HP and basic defenses.
Kalea, Freya, Gloo, Phoveus, Zhuxin, Suyou, Leomord, Claude, Harley and Paquito are weakened, although the wiki does not yet specify how.
What the measurements say today
A clarification first: the site's statistics cover the thirty days preceding their reading on September 11, 2026, well after the release of the patch. They therefore do not allow us to measure a before and after. On the other hand, they say where the heroes concerned are, all ranks combined.
- Buffed Roamers are not all at the same level. Rafaela (58.5% wins), Estes (54.1%), Minotaur (54.5%), Khufra (54.4%), and Floryn (53.5%) are above average, and Rafaela saw her ban rate increase from 12.3% to 16.5% over the period. Mathilda (44.6%), Gatotkaca (45.8%), Hylos (47.8%) and Angela (48.5%) remain below despite their bonuses.
- Two weakened heroes remain at the top of the tier list: Gloo, banned in almost one game out of two, and Paquito, banned in a little more than one game out of two.
- Hanzo, although strengthened, is falling: his victory rate goes from 52.8% to 49.5% over the thirty days measured, while his ban rate rises from 33% to 42%.
- Marcel maintains one of the best win rates in the game (58.6%) despite the loss of his immobilization, but in very few games played.
- Hirara is already one of the most banned heroes: 63% across all ranks, and 81% at Mythic Glory rank.
Overall reading
The patch keeps its promise on roamers in the sense that most of the targeted supports and tanks are now playable, and several among the most effective in the game. But their bonuses have not placed Mathilda or Angela above average, and the weakening of Gloo and Paquito have not diminished the fear they inspire in selection. We will need the full wiki notes to judge the 25 changes not yet detailed.
