One lane, straight into action

Brawl

A single-lane map with a random hero. Short, intense matches, with no jungle and no long trips back to base.

Brawl is a game mode in which you cannot freely choose your heroes. Instead, each player will have two random heroes to choose from. Battles in this mode take place only on a single lane with two turrets defending the base in both teams respectively. Brawl matches generally end in a much shorter time than Classic Mode and Ranked Mode. This type of match is preferred for increasing lost credit scores or completing tasks.

Main features

  • Each player has the choice between 2 random heroes.
  • Players can only purchase items once they die or before leaving the altar area each time they respawn.
  • The altar no longer heals or regenerates mana. All healing effects are halved. The base is no longer restocking.
  • Each hero can have an additional buff or handicap.

Departure

Players can chat during the selection phase.

All players start at level 4 and receive 2,500 starting gold to purchase items. Once they leave the base, they must die to be able to purchase items again.

Glyph of Healing

Heroes who rarely die in combat will drop a healing glyph. (Heals both Max HP and Mana.)

Turrets

Turrets in Brawl behave the same as in classic games. However the turrets are weaker and do not have a golden shield.

The second turret on each side releases a wave that kills all minions when destroyed.

Minions

Gold and experience gained from minions are higher than in classic mode.

After 12 minutes, the Super Minions are deployed to avoid long games.

Crab

There are two crabs on opposite sides of the path that spawn at 0:30 and respawn 30 seconds after dying. Killing a Frozen Crab regenerates small amounts of health, gives gold and a small shield. Nearby allies who help with the crab also receive gold. This crab can be used as a springboard for heroes like Lancelot, Joy or Natalia, interact with certain heroes like Vexana, Benedetta or Yi Sun-shin, or check if the enemy is in the nearest bush or kill yourself to buy items when their health is too low.

Healing runes

There are two healing runes on opposite sides of the path that appear at 0:30 and reappear 35 seconds after being collected. The timer and sound effect are visible and audible to everyone. The rune continuously heals the picker for the 5 second delay, then regenerates some health and up to 40% mana to all allied heroes within range. If the recoverer dies during the delay, the healing is canceled.

Barrel

There is a barrel on each side that appears at 0:20 and every 30 seconds after being picked up. Pick this barrel and shoot at the enemies to surprise them!

The barrel makes the user untargetable shortly, deals true damage, and has a 15 second cooldown, making it impossible to pull off two barrels at once. When someone picks up a barrel, a sound is made, audible to everyone on the map.

The Barrel is also disabled by rooted effect.

A dead Diggie or an untargetable hero can collect the barrel.

Matchmaking

Unlike Classic or Ranked modes, there are no rank restrictions in Brawl. This means you can queue up matches where one side is a 5-man solo queue while the other is a team of 5, or one side is a 5-man Mythic Immortal while the other is someone who just downloaded the game.

Being AFK, avoiding team fights or verbal abuse is entirely punishable through reporting.

Tips and tricks

  • Recommended team composition

There are many heroes to choose from with different playstyles. Knowing the heroes' skills, strengths, and weaknesses as well as their optimal positioning is essential. Prioritize Assassins, Mages, or Fighters as they deal a lot of damage and provide crowd control. Avoid Marksman as they are item dependent and fragile at first, unless they have good minion clearing and area of effect abilities like Beatrix or Granger. Avoid teams with too many Mages, too many Snipers, or too many Tanks.

  • Recommended Combat Spells
  • Flameshot has a very low cooldown and can be used to check the bush, secure kills, or negate abilities.
  • At least one player must bring the following:
  • Revitalize so their team can sustain after the fight as the altar no longer heals, especially when your team is in a bad position and can't secure healing runes; And
  • Purify, if your hero has good damage but is vulnerable to crowd control (CC).
  • However, Sprint is not highly recommended.
  • Enjoy the crowd

Brawl's unique card can massively buff heroes such as Luo Yi, Odette, Lancelot, Xavier, Fanny while heroes who rely too much on basic attacks like Freya or Thamuz become useless.

Likewise, you will need to avoid staying close to each other when the enemies are Atlas or Tigreal.

  • Buy the right things

Instead of purchasing a decent item, purchasing smaller components might give a better advantage. You can also wait a few seconds and send a message to your allies that you are almost enough gold to purchase items.j

Instead of rushing a 5-man team with full Sky Piercer, a healing-reducing item can greatly counter the enemy team.

  • Hidden in the bush

Take advantage of the bushes to ambush enemies, especially suitable for heroes like Helcurt, Hilda, Natalia, Luo Yi. Be careful if enemies have such heroes.

  • Replay hero selection

At the start, players will have the choice between 2 heroes. If no hero really suits you, you roll a die to obtain a new hero and send your discarded hero to the reserve for the others. Sometimes just one discarded hero is enough for everyone to swap. You can chat and ask other players or use quick chats and emotes. Keep in mind that if the hero is discarded twice and disappears from everyone's selection, he might reappear if you use another die, which would waste your dice. Up to 10 heroes can appear on the abandoned location.

Some heroes are difficult for you to play, but that doesn't mean it's difficult for your allies, swap them and avoid accumulating two good heroes while your allies have none.

  • Enlist the enemy

Since there is only one lane, it's easier to guess your opponents' moves and place your hero in the best position to defend or attack.

When the enemy team has Xavier, Novaria, expect you to be damaged or revealed by purchasing items from the altar or reaching the battlefield.

You can check enemies' items to see if they have left their altar or not.

  • Use natural objects

You can save a barrel to escape after a dive, turret dive, or use it to shorten the distance with Flicker. Barrels first appear at 20 seconds, while the first healing runes last for 30 seconds. It's best to secure the bush to the right and the glyph nearby, so your team can at least turn off a healing option after the enemies fight. Use the barrel to stop enemies when they try to secure the healing rune.

Combat Spells

All heroes receive Flicker by default alongside another chosen combat spell.

All combat spells start on 50% of their normal cooldown.

Hero Specs

As some heroes will be too powerful or too disadvantaged in Brawl, certain buffs or handicaps are added to certain heroes as follows:

Latest version: v350.1 {|class="article-table" !Heroes!!Stat changes!!Individual changes

Passive gain: 10/4

There are four doors for Chip, each side has one near the base, while the other two are on either side of the opposite bushes.
